So, as you may have read in my dad's journal, I'm not too well.
I have a large tumor in my chest, affecting my spleen and lungs, and probably other organs as well. I have a cough, and I don't want to eat anything, although I drink a lot of water. Mommy gave me this nasty brown paste on my tongue that I had to lick down, and she said it would give me NOO TREE SHUN.
I don't have much energy, and haven't felt like using the stairs the last couple of days. The vet said I might have some internal bleeding, which could get worse if I exterted myself or got knocked in the abdomen. I'm okay for now, but if my breathing gets worse, or I stop wanting to drink, I'll have to go back to the vet. He said that could be any day - the progress seems to be pretty rapid.
Anyway, thought I'd let you all know what was up with me. Mommy will post here for me when I'm no longer able to. I'm happy that I made it to 13, which is, like, ANCIENT for a big dog! And I'm happy that mommy and daddy have their new cat Olórin, and my sister Angie too. I'm not so happy that it looks like my brother Kim will outlive me, but I guess they like him, so that's good for them.

The last few days have been very exciting.
Granma and Granpa and Perkyi and Yagi came to stay in our house on Wednesday, and left on Friday.
Our yak also came to stay on Thursday and left on Saturday.
So there were lots and lots of humans and dogs and we got lots to eat. It rained a bit and got muddy outside, but we were combed by everyone, and I also got some of my nails clipped (YUCK!)
In other news, I have a Queendom on the Lost Continent at http://www.nationstates.net/ - it's a great place to live with low taxes. |

Mommy set up daddy's web cam so that it points at the guest room floor, where my brother Kim often sleeps (it's cool in there).

Last night, I stayed out in the back yard really late, because mommy and daddy forgot to close the kitchen door. I looked for the Meaty Ores, but I'm not sure if I saw any. Earlier, there were a lot of helicopters going by - at least one before mommy came home, and then three more after she was home and daddy had gone out. Mommy says they might be going to fight in the Middle East. They were very, very loud. And there were a lot of airplanes going the same direction too, but higher up and quieter.
Perhaps they were going to find out where the Meaty Ores had come from? |

Well, nothing much exciting has been happening in my life, so I haven't posted for a while.
Daddy came back from Doo By Ee. He brought some chocolate for mommy, but we didn't get offered any :P
While daddy was away, mommy bought a new cushion thing for the bedroom floor. It matches the curtains. I haven't lain on it yet, because I'm not sure if it's the right thing to do.
Today the noisy lawn-mower thing was in front of the house, and I barked at it.
Yesterday, daddy was very sad, but today he seems much better.
Right now, I'm lying with my back legs on the new cushion thing, to test whether it's okay. Mommy hasn't said it's not okay, so maybe it is okay. It smells kinda funny - mommy says it's the redwood chips.
Daddy is at his class right now, but he'll be coming home soon. |

This morning, mommy and daddy were very busy getting things together and searching for some long-lost "power adapter", and then they went out. A few hours later, mommy came back, but without daddy.
Mommy says daddy has gone here and will be back next week.
I just did something in the back yard, and half of it is bright green. I think it's because I had a green colored biscuit this morning. I hope that's why.... |

So, what's been happening in my life recently?
Well, mommy and daddy moved a couch into their bedroom, so I get to sleep on that now. It's nice!
Mommy also spent more time in the back yard with a scoop and bucket, so now it doesn't smell like us any more. I'll have to change that.
Haven't seen my pet yak for a while.
Haven't seen granny and granpa for a while either.
My sister snores loudly.

Today was a kinda weird day. Mommy and daddy were home all day, except for lunch. It was hot. Mommy spent some time in the back with a scoop thingie and a bucket, I don't know why. Later there was the sound of that vacuum thing.
I didn't get to go outside till late morning. And when I did there were people doing things to the bushes off to the east, so I got to bark at them.
Right now I'm lying on the floor at the end of the bed watching Dawson's Creek. I'm sleepy. |

Kim just tried to fool daddy by telling him mommy didn't feed us this morning.
Unluckily for him, daddy checked with mommy and she told him we DID get fed this morning! So he didn't get any extra food. Heheheheheheheeee
Personally, I don't think Kim should ever get any food at all. Grrrrrrr. |

Okay so today wasn't as nice as yesterday because first mommy left the house, and later daddy took his big black bag with towels and stuff and left the house, so we're all alone now.
On the plus side, mommy refilled all our bowls with kibble this morning because they were all empty, so I went and sat by my bowl while I ate my breakfast sausage and I got to bark at Kim and Angie whenever they made the slightest move towards me.
It's very hot today but I think it will get cooler soon. I didn't bark at anything much last night because it was just so quiet, and then daddy closed the kitchen door so I couldn't go out and listen. Instead, I just slept lying on my back with my legs in the air. Whee!!!!! |

My mom reminded me to post in English, not Dog, because most of the people on my friends' list are not dogs. Sorry!
Well, today has been a very exciting day. I had some sausage for breakfast (yum) and I even got to eat it while lying in my special place, next to my bowl of kibble. Both mommy and daddy have been home almost all day, and I've been able to spend time lying behind each of their chairs, which is my BESTEST FAVORITE THING IN THE WHOLE WORLD!
Anyway, that's about it. I'm hoping someone will put me on their friends list, so I know people are reading this. I lead such an interesting life!!!!
Tomorrow, I'll tell you all about the little sounds I barked at late at night. Stayed tuned... |
